My day at the salon had been enlightening. I came home a different woman, knowing that my husband would be a different man! Androgyny appealed to me more than I'd expected….. There were unexamined corners of our relationship that we might probe this evening. He/she, I knew, was nervous. I, too, as his wife, was nervous but also extremely excited! I couldn't wait to reach the driveway at home……

The Homecoming

Leaving the hospital Grandma Rosa asked, “Say, since they’re running tests on Josepho again tomorrow, I was thinking you and me and your brother could all go to the Italian Festival in Trenton...”

“That’s tomorrow? Sure! I haven’t been there in years, I’d love to go. But I don’t know if Joey will want to. He’s been acting kind of strange lately.”

“Strange?”

“Well yesterday he did the dishes, cleaned all the sinks and counters, mopped the floor-”

“SWEET JESUS, NO!” she gasped, “That is not good! Just say the word and we’ll do it.”

“Do what?”

“Switch you back, of course. If his sudden interest in scrubbing things means what we think it does it’s time to put an end to this little body-swap adventure.”

“Really?! That’s fantastic!”

But why in the next second did the prospect of going back to who I had been suddenly not seem so fantastic?

“Look, children, let us focus on what ta do now. Until I sleep, dis change can be undone, but only by you, Charlie. I give ta you de power over de fate o' your friends.”

“Switch de dolls' clothin' ta make things as dey were. You have 'til I get home an' lay me head down. Good day, children.”

The Story With No Name

Matt was the star basketball player for Russell Wilson High. All his life he had been the best at the sport. From rec ball through high school he had dominated everyone. Even now as his senior year approached, he was being recruited by the best schools in the country to play for them. He stood an imposing six foot five inches tall, two hundred and twenty pounds of solid muscle that drove the girls wild. There was only one problem; I wanted to be a girl.

Gone was the flamboyant blond in the micro dress with the enormous breasts and the four and one half inch heels. Gone was the slightly overdone dramatic theatrical make up. What remained was a somewhat stately, calm and in control, statuesque beautiful woman.

The husband grinned that warm fuzzy feelings grin as Ellen slid out of the booth and greeted him with a brief kiss on the lips, “Well…this is certainly a different you today. You look absolutely wonderful!”

My stomach felt like a huge lump of ice had dropped into it as Captain Richards stood up and said, "Will Andrea Martin please approach the tribunal."

Wondering how long my wobbly legs would support me, I stood up and took a step forward before saying, "Actually, it's Andrew."

The captain frowned as he looked down at me from the makeshift podium. "What was that?"

“You danced several dances with him and each one was more…provocative then the one before it. You were grinding your ass against his crotch and then you shoved your crotch at him as though there were a place to put his package in your front. It was truly quite amazing to watch. You really got into character.”

“What do you mean? I ‘got into character’?”

“Well, you were dressed like a woman and were reacting to the men as a woman might…”

The place was surrounded with security cameras, barbed wire, there were a couple of armed guards, and it looked more like a prison than a school.
Stupid goddamn foreshadowing. I wish I hadn’t been right.

“What would you rather be? A girl dealing with her first period or a guy dealing with the same thing? This whole thing is a lot easier if you just let yourself BE who you look like. We’re worse off than born transsexuals, because we’re stuck like this. They can get operations and stuff but WE can’t do anything except accept this and hope like hell that we don’t get LYNCHED for having robots cut off our balls,” said Allison. “I liked being Alex. He was a happy kid. These nanobots come and change me into THIS. Allison is a new girl, and she’s learning. She’s not happy about that but at least Alex has the dignity to SHUT THE FUCK UP and try to let Allison live her life! If you’re going to let Sam keep running Sammy’s body, then you may as well jump out of a window now. ”
