Dear Readers, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Apologies for the delay. Here is the full Chapter 8.

I sat on the edge of the bed, in a bathrobe, and held my head in my hands.

Why a bathrobe?

Because the maids had ensured there wasn’t a single scrap of clothing in the entire suite other than a bathrobe and fluffy slippers for me to wear.

Oh, and those slippers were shaped like bunnies.

What is Victoria up to when Mercy might be grounded for the weekend?
Make up her own fun? Sure!
But Victoria's plans are thoroughly messed up when a mysterious woman shows up at her doorstep.
To make matters worse the woman asks rather pointily questions.

I was seven years old when my life turned into the proverbial mother of all train wrecks. The date was December 19, 2008.

Mom, dad and my baby brother James were coming home from a hospital visit. James, who was 3 years old, had come down with a nasty cough that just wouldn't go away, and mom and dad had taken him to the hospital while I was in school so he could be examined.

The Loft

Sometime around platform number three I stopped to rest, because everyone else had stopped to rest. I sat, legs splayed in front of me; arms, like a tripod, behind me. Autumn and Sarah were discussing the play we were doing, as if they had both read it. Because they had both read it. The discussion centered around the set design, and had nothing whatever to do with the rest of the play.

As a result of dressing as a girl for my French class project, I was spending more and more time as a girl. While Sandy had been enthusiastic about my cross-dressing at the start, she seemed less and less in favor of it as time progressed and I spent more time en femme. She wanted a boyfriend.

My Father just didn’t like it. He was reluctant to discuss my cross-dressing; he left it to my Mother to tell me of his concerns. “Your Father had hoped that your cross-dressing was a phase and that you would grow out of it.” she said, “Now he thinks that you might be turning into a girl. He thinks that you are more girl than boy, and he wants you to go to counseling.”

Sandy shared my Dad’s concerns. Therefore, I agreed to go to counseling.

Camille Jean Laignaux goes on her first date. That is, if Hank survives Cam's inspection. Bishop takes his first tentative steps with Jason, the investigative reporter. Can Bishop use Jason or will he end up being used by Mr. Jack?

This little ditty came to me this morning. It is set in my A New Life universe, which is set in Dot's M.Y.T.H. universe. I didn't let it sit or edit it too heavily, so there are probably some errors.

"This is embarrassing!" Jimmy complained.

'Awwwww, come on! There are boy elves, too. Rudolph's best friend was a boy elf," Vicky replied.

“Monica Anne Preston!”
Mike didn’t go with Travis and James to wherever the hell they had planned but instead he came home an hour later. I heard the truck pull into the driveway along with the slam of a single door and the violent entry he made into the house.

I had locked my door after I came home and he slammed his hand on it.
“What the hell was that for!”

I spent a fair while about two weeks ago looking through websites to see if there were any fairs taking place in the US around Christmas time.

There were none, the latest I could find all ended around mid-November, so this story and the people and some places in it are pure fiction.

Sabina is a cynical, homeless young trans woman who prioritizes hormones even over such necessities as food and shelter. Deborah is an anxious workaholic with social issues and an apparent softer side, a responsible up-and-coming professional who has just had surgery. A serendipitous encounter on the subway system brings these two women briefly into each other's orbit, where they leave powerful impressions on each other and reveal vulnerable aspects of themselves through their differences, without fully realizing all that they have in common.

1st Meeting

Directly after Drama was Math, and I had some problems finding the classroom. I got no introduction this time, just sat down, and was pleased to learn that our section had been covered last year at my old school. This was going to be a breeze. No studying in for this.

You know the old saying, there's a sucker born every minute? Well, I discovered the truth of that one all too well recently.

You see, I used to go out in my van and fix problems in the telephone lines, just like in the song Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell. Most of the time, it wasn't difficult work, although it could be time consuming after a big storm went through the area, but that's life, ya know?

This seemed to be a day like any other, I was headed out to check a few sites, one of which had a malfunctioning transformer.

After my body slamming experience, I was transported to a hospital. It was obvious that the police officers didn’t notice the bruises and scarring on my arms and neck moments after I walked onto the farm due to their reaction when they went to cuff me. They raised my hands to cuff them, my sleeves fell down a bit and the rest was history. Instead of a trip directly to the local jail in a cop car, I got to make a pit-stop at the hospital in an ambulance. The bad part about this was that it gave Frank a seemingly endless supply of ideas about who I could be. And it wasn’t good.

When I woke up in the field, all I knew of myself was that I was a girl and my hair had a pinkish tint to it. That was it. I awoke from what seemed a veil of nothingness, and when I was fully aware, I realized I had no idea who I was. I didn’t know my name, my age, or who my family was, if I even had family. Nothing. My mind was blank, well, mostly blank. I still seemed to remember things that one would learn in school. I thought of George Washington and how he was the first president, commander-in-chief of the Continental Army, basically everything about the guy.

When 13 year old twins Tyler and Jillian can't get along, their Mom decides to take drastic measures and make them see things from each others shoes by making them literally switch places, forcing Jillian to be the brother and Tyler to be the sister. Tyler's punishment gets extended but Jillian finds herself on the tail end of her punishment and finds herself a little more conflicted about returning to life as a girl than she thought.
