Chapter One – The Beginning

Valerie Swindon sat at her desk in her small study grading exam papers. A shadow fell over the opaque glass panel of the door and she looked up at the ornate mantle clock and realised it was time.

I wrote this over ten years ago. It was essentially finished, but I somehow never considered it ready for posting. Or, at least, it had gone as far as I was inspired to take it. It kinda begs for a sequel, but it's fine as it is.

One fine day, Joe wakes up and finds that his whole life has been turned upside-down.

Interlude

Jack, Harry, and Jock were drinking beer and laughing about how they beat the crap out of that cross-dressing pervert when they saw a bright light outside the front door. They went to investigate, and immediately felt their feet leave the ground. They tried to escape, but couldn't do a thing about it. They floated into what looked like a flying saucer -- kicking and screaming all the way.

There is some violence in this installment. It is brief, off-stage, and resolves well.

Friday, November 5, 2021:

I had a really strange dream last night. The strangest part is that I remember it so clearly. Dreams normally fade very soon after we wake up, but this one stayed with me.

This story very briefly uses the characters Katie, Liam, Pat, Brendan, Niall and Jimmy from my story Some Gave All which I posted here last summer: https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/fiction/69181/some-gave-all

This story is related to that one, as it tells about things that happened at the orphanage after those six kids ran away in May of 2006.

Most of the story is told from one boy's viewpoint, i. e., memories of what happened to himself and some other boys there.

Prologue

Snrxl was working on the integration plan when Vrall walked into his office. "How goes the big plan?"

"Just finishing up."

At an all boys school, boys often have to play girl parts in the plays, and jockish 13 year old Trevor is left shocked and nervous when he is cast as the leading lady and love interest to his best friend, in the winter play. Once the rehearsals starts however, Trevor begins to realize that maybe playing a girl won't be that bad.

Cramps

I woke up feeling like death. My head ached, my body was sore, my boobs felt tender to the touch. I could feel them stretch as I got out of bed, stretching my skin from the clavical down to my shoulder blades. It felt like a wire brush had raked my insides.

A shower helped a little bit. I stayed under the water too long, and crinkled my fingers. Washed my hair, and winced when it came time to wash my boobs. I remembered how to tie a towel, realized I was just going to my room, and went naked.

A boy with a reputation as a troublemaker quickly turns over a new leaf with the help of his family, his two best friends, and The Prissy Princess Correctional Club.

Michael Stephenson III's world would no longer be seen in the same light after his hasty arrival into Bikini Beach's small first aid station. His life changed as with many others outside the water park and its sprawling establishment with his placement in a makeshift bath.

" What? No! I've already been enough of a girl today. I'm not doing anything girly anymore."

Jake had a stern look on his face. Jen pleaded Jake with a cute face but his mind was made up. Jen resorted to her last option.

Ethiopian

“I’ve never had Ethiopian before,” Autumn climbed out of the back seat of our Outback. We had sat together in the back, holding hands all the way, while my mom asked questions.

“Eet-hio-pian,” I corrected her before my mom could. “It’s good. You’re okay with spicy, right?”

“It’s not my favorite. I’m not a frat boy with something to prove.”
