Karen greeted me with a big smile.

“I’m so glad you came, Gina.”

I walked in a few steps and turned around. My anger was apparent.

This story starts just hours after the end of my story Ida The Spy.
Holly has just found out that a third daughter has become hers as a result of some black magic. But who dunnit? And why? How Shannon appear out of nowhere, (somewhere?), on the mountain above the house Holly is in the process of buying?

When I first woke up I flashed back on that previous hospital awakening after the accident back in the fall. I hurt all over, just like before, but the pain was distant and dull, just like before, because of medication. My chest hurt, my face hurt, even my feet hurt but mostly, my groin hurt.

 
The week after I turned sixteen my life got turned upside down by the kind of mistake that would make a good comedy movie.

Merritt loves dolls and pretty dresses, but soon he will begin school. A story about a lovely boy and his mother, and his upbringing as a little girl

A silly idea came to me (and turned into this nonsense within an hour) - what if a blackmailer hadn't done his research and what he assumes is the target's devastating secret isn't (exactly)(much of) a secret...

The day I had been fearing for some time finally came. Rumours were flying everywhere and finally, just before knocking off time we got word to assemble in the works canteen for an important announcement.

There was an expectant hubbub of noise even though we all know what was going to happen.

The works director came in and turned to face us.

“Ladies and Gentlemen. It gives me no pleasure to have to tell you this but effective today, this factory will close its gates forever”

There was a stunned silence. We knew it was going to be bad but not that bad.

At a supermarket, an overweight, balding, middle-aged man bumps into young mother with small child.

“I am sorry.”

“No it was my fault”
