Chapter 1

I awoke earlier than usual that momentous morning and walked out the back door to see the sun rising slowly over the lush verdant fields of eastern Arkansas. The neat clean rows of cotton and soybeans awaiting the warm life-giving rays of the sun. The plants stretching to receive the mornings blessing from Father Sol. The rows beckoned me to come and grow with them and stretch my arms to receive the blessings of the Sun also. I walked out to the fields and stood among them warming myself as the Sun rose higher and higher over the horizon. The coming of the day was always exciting to me making me feel as though I would have another chance at being the best I could and today, like any other, was a chance to be what I wanted to be. I had made the decision to myself to realize my life’s dream, now I had to find a way to do it. Luck was with me for once and the way came, however not without a price.

A successful woman is convinced a female lead marriage is the best path forward and as her career is taking off, her unemployed husband is expected to fill traditional female roles like homemaker and nursing mother. In this chapter… We meet Eric and begin to better understand Julia’s dilemma. Confrontation brings new revelations as new dynamics begin to form and Julia realizes she’s the one with the power in their marriage.

I was enjoying a beer at the local bar when a beautiful woman approached me
she introduced herself as Wendy
she sat down next to me and offered me another drink.

After Lee learns all that there is for him to learn, in the time loops.

All that is left is for Lee to party until the end.

And that is exactly what Lee is going to do.

Where do devotion and obsession meet? When does devotion become insane stalking?

A short story I wrote some time ago and came across on my hard drive. I'm a fan of German lied (art songs) and this is a little tribute to Robert Schumann but a knowledge of the music isn't necessary to understand the story (I hope). It's seasonal, but not this season.

This is a story set in the 1800’s about a family that has lost every family member except the youngest son and his twin sister. Then his sister dies of smallpox and he manages to persuade his mother to let him become his deceased sister.

I originally wrote this some 2 years ago then my muse departed so for some reason I couldn’t commit anything to paper, which meant that the story stopped at chapter 13 (superstitious?) Now my muse has returned and I find that I can continue but I was left with the problem of what to do whether to carry on and post chapter 14 in the hope people would pick up the story or repost from scratch. Having asked the opinions were varied and as a result I have decided to post up the chapter 13 at a episode every couple of days then after this a weekly posting – I hope you all approve.
I realise that the language of the time is difficult to read (and difficult to write) so I have done an amalgam of the vernacular of the time and modern speech patterns

Some people, when they dig themselves into a hole, by angering a small army of badass women from across the multiverse, would stop digging, and do what they can to prevent making things work for themselves.

But, not Lee. Given Lee and the rest of the world he is on, is stuck in a time loop. With Lee having no consequences for his actions. And no one else remembering the temporal resets. Lee has decided to keep digging his hole deeper with the women after him.

And so, in this chapter, Lee is going to be Learning The Ropes, in becoming a badass.

And by the time this is over, Lee is going to find himself in China.
