It’s a mistake to believe just in one god – there’s lots of them – Ahriman to Zeus – take your pick! . And it also means that people other than mere humans roam the world. Demi-gods for example. People of Power. And they have feelings. You annoy such people at risk. And with risk comes retribution, revenge and remarkable outcomes …………….. for Tim his self-centred attitude meant a risk of some big changes. And he thought it was just bad luck! Silly boy.

It would be good to say that grit and determination got me through it all, but that could not be further from the truth. I survived by surrender and submission. Surrender and submission and two Afghan traditions that turned strangely to my advantage – Bacha bazi and Pashtunwali. Then later another local tradition known as Shadabi. This is really a story about traditions.

Just grin and bear it, I think to myself as I’m ushered to the front of the large room, where a beer is placed in my hands and a mock crown is placed on my head.

When I died I was John Pierpont Morgan Backhouse. I was a successful businessman, although not as successful as my namesake. I was a father, but not a good one. I was a husband – definitely a bad one. In short, I was an asshole.

"My name is Francesca. I'm so glad to meet you."

It’s been a learning process. When did makeup and clothing become my camouflage? And now it’s become real.

“Aww, come on babe…” Kain moans as I pull my skirt and my top back on. “I’ve barely seen you this holiday…”

“I know, I know,” I sigh as I lean down to give the tall, semi-naked boy a gentle kiss. “Trust me, I’d much rather stay here all day. And all night, hehe!” I grin devilishly as my boyfriend giggles nervously at the prospect of us spending the night together. “But, you know, my parents would just totally flip out…” Well, mother and soon to be stepfather, I think to myself. God knows what my biological father would think- and god’s probably the only one who cares, either.

Out for a food run, Carmelita saves a young woman from a fate worse than death. That act of kindness will emerge things inside her heart that she never knew were there. Those feelings that will cause her to supersede the will of the Goddess herself

Golfing with Mom

This started out as a short story about princesses, somehow I got lost.

I was the youngest of three siblings growing up. My older sisters Kat and Debbie were both older by a year or two. My mom Joanne, and dad John, were products of the war generation which made my siblings and me ‘baby boomers’. I grew up in a suburban neighborhood and had a middle-class neighborhood upbringing.

What You Want

I used the library to hide out, partially due to the fear of coming into class late, and also because I could lay my head down and sleep a few more minutes. My stowaway was in the back near the magazine rack, as there was an alcove that was just big enough—assuming one was limber—to squeeze in and not be seen unless someone was looking right at the area.

Not one to risk upsetting his wife Joan, Gerald agrees to her desire for him to be pretty when they go out in public together. One thing leads to another and Gerald decides to become a woman and accept the fact that Joan and he have switched marital roles.

Having avoided the compulsory gender transition, Terry Harrington is now well and truly on the run and in hiding whilst disguising himself 'in plain sight' as one of the many kids living rough to avoid the feminisation draft.

Facing the inevitable, Mary begins to train herself to act and think like a man. At the same time, she starts training Liz, her close friend and confidant, into becoming a respectable lady and potential partner. Mary is torn between what society expects of her and her own desires.

The holiday season comes upon the Fanning household and it keeps both aunt and niece busy for a while. But, day by day, Myra steps ever closer to a confronting mystery that she wishes could be avoided.

Chapter 4 – Preparing for a shopping trip with Mom

The rest of the week turned out to be pretty normal. School, homework, video games, and family dinners. Well, that and the decision I was wrestling with. On Saturday, after breakfast when my brothers went out to play in the back yard, and my Dad went to have some specialty engine modifications done on his antique car (a 1968 Plymouth Fury), I decided to help my Mom clean up the dishes.

Chapter 2: Decisions, decisions…

“Uh, Miss Russo,” I muttered and stammered, “I uh, well uh…”

“It’s OK Mike, no need to get all nervous! Who did you pick?”

“Annie Oakley?” I answered sheepishly.

Just about the whole class busted a gut laughing. I wanted to end it all right there and disappear into the deepest, darkest hole I could find.
“Settle down kids, settle down!”

Not for the first time this week, I’m woken up by the sound of loud music emanating from the living room. As I have for the last few days, I yawn, stretch and swing my tired body out of bed, pulling on my fluffy dark red dressing gown before padding through to the living room to find my girlfriend gently swaying to Three Times a Lady. I let out a gentle sigh as I encircle her tiny waist from behind and gently sway along with her, which elicits a contented sigh from the petite blonde girl.

“I still say you were robbed,” I say, making my lover giggle.

“Mom,” I called downstairs, “I don’t have any underwear!”

A few moments later my mom was standing in my doorway looking at me. I was late for breakfast having ignored my sister the first time she told me to get up and now my sisters were downstairs eating while I was still wearing my pajamas.

“What’s all over your floor,” my mom said while she glared at me.

“Dirty clothes,” I said.

“So,” she said sternly, “you do have underwear - only they are all dirty as you haven’t put them in the hamper like I’ve told you to do a hundred times.”

By becoming both a son and daughter to his single mom, Greg needs a lot of new closet space.
