Summoned: An Accidental Adventure –
Prologue v

Chris looked down at the terrain they had set up on the gaming table. It was a detailed forest simulacra with representative building walls, carts, beasts of burden, town folk, guards, and of course unique little figurines representing the various players characters.

Getting dressed for our shopping expedition was the easy part. I fretted over the makeup but thankfully, Mia had come prepared with more than just the clothes. Applying makeup to her standards was OTOH a different experience so I let her take over. By the time she was done, we both had very pale, almost white faces, thick black brows, ruby red lips and black eyes with lots of emphasis on the outer parts. We also wore pairs of the thickest and longest false lashes that I’d ever seen.

Summerfield High School:
Shay braces herself as her father drives right into the flagpole at her high school. She looks over towards him, as several security officers at her high school come running out and over to the truck.

“Are you alright, Ms.?” Security Officer Wallace looks at the young girl on the passenger side of the truck.

“I’m okay, I think my father hit his head on the windshield.” Shay looks over toward security officer Wallace.

Inspired by their kids' love of the dress-up game, divorced moms Gail and Judy search for a cute guy who would like to play the game with them. In an encounter at a rack of pretty sundresses in a local department store, Gail finds a willing player in Carl.

Amanda told me, but I had a hard time believing it. “What do you mean theatrical glue won’t stick to my skin? Doesn’t it stick to everyone’s skin?”

In the eigthies, when I was a teen I started to go to my mum's friend, a professional hair dresser, to get my hair styled. Then she asked me to model for her master exam. This is what came of it...

Sparrow looks at all the sympathy cards she received because of the passing of her mother. She looks at the picture of her mother on her desk. The desk was the same one her mother used when she was alive.

She couldn’t believe how many people had shown up for her mother’s funeral or how many of them used to work with her mother. There were several at the funeral that scared the daylights out of her. There were a few that didn’t have to say anything, but just look at you.

Brandon Grey watched as the most beautiful woman in the world walked up the aisle toward him. His heart threatened to skip a beat one moment, then throw in an extra, the next.

For her part, Cammille Smith was radiant. This day was one she had been looking forward to for years. She was twenty-five years old, and she had wondered how this day would be since she started noticing boys.

As the couple said their vows, they both felt like they were dancing on air, and in fact, they appeared to be during the reception. Their first dance, while perhaps not the most skilfully executed, was beautiful due to the expression of love radiating from one to the other.
