my leg buckled twice today

twice today my right leg buckled.

This wasn't a dislocation, just a moment where it seemed like it wasn't going to support my weight.

soon as I can, I will be calling my doctor, and meanwhile, all hugs and prayers accepted.

So I looked at my account this morning, and realized I had actually missed my 16th anniversary of being a member of Big Closet.

Boy, its been a busy 16 years!

but besides the changes I have undergone since, one thing remains - this place is a big part of my life, and I continue to be grateful to Erin and her elves who keep this place running.

2 dreams for the price of one

Blog About:

So last night, i had 2 very different dreams.

In the first, I was back in college, and was approached to take a seat on the Student Court as one of the judges. I told the person asking me that I was concerned about my grades, since I had struggled the previous semester, but I really didn't want to become that visible, as I had apparently planned to begin dealing with my gender issues by feminizing my appearance slowly.

so my brother had another medical crisis and went back to the hospital - only to be released later.

Meanwhile, I went and saw Thunderbolts, and all I will say is I really relate to Bob. Like him, I carry darkness that is very dangerous . . .

I've had several medical professionals tell me this is the worst allergy season they've seen. The actually didn't have to tell me; I can feel it.

Also, for the first day or so after getting allergy shots (every two weeks) I feel very sluggish. I got my shots yesterday. Oog.

Dreams of gender euphoria

So, last night I dreamed I was shopping at West Edmonton Mall, and I found a beautiful shorts and top set.

I tried it on, looked in the dressing room mirror, and it was like the clothes had utterly transformed me.

I was . . . beautiful.

I was so happy, I rushed out, paid for the outfit, and wondered the mall, having to stop myself from going up to complete strangers and asking how I looked.

That was just about the best dream I could have had right now.

I just wish I could feel like that in real life a little more often . . .

She Hit Me !!!

Blog About:

Author:

Two men were arguing loudly on the Street Car and I'd had enough. I turned to the one sitting by me, who was the loudest and said to him, "Take it back a notch will you". He turned to me and got right IN my face and said "Why don't you hit me?" So I gave him an elbow in the face and he started squawking like a little girl. The driver said for us to get off the train and I did. The one who caused the problem was fighting with the driver when I left.

You never know...

True story.

Several weeks ago………

Several weeks ago, I added a quote to my signature line here; a quote which I remembered from my youth. A few people have inquired as to the origin of the quote, so I felt the need to explain it.

I was raised as a Lutheran - the church of my mother’s family, something for which I give thanks regularly. My father’s family were Baptists, and I give thanks that I was NOT raised in that church! It has been my experience that all churches have their share of hypocrites, but the percentage amongst the Baptists seems to be considerably higher, as does the number of assholes.

Just saw on CNN, Saturday 4/12/25... They are reporting the disappearance of some of those who disagree with Trump. I know that there are Thousands or even Millions of demonstrators so this seems implausible. I am just waiting to see what develops and keeping my head down for now.

Gillian makes her musical debut!

An important part of transition is finding different ways to open up to the world and express yourself. And an important one for me is through my singing.

I started feminine voice classes in the fall of 2023. When my voice began to solidify and develop in early 2024, I tested it out by singing along with a variety of songs on YouTube. And my teacher encouraged me to do it as part of my voice training. Funding for those classes ran out. But I continued to practice and decided last fall to sign up for formal training at a local music school.

It's been 5 months since I got to be Leeanna. I have longed to be female since I was around 4 years old and wondered why I couldn't wer pretty clothes and play with the girls. "Boys don't....." I was told. So this led to a double life. I married and had 3 boys. Now I feel it is too late and I would break too many hearts if I acted on my desires. I remain committed to my male life, which I don't hate. Who is to say I would have been happier living as a female? Back in the 1970's when grew up trans people were treated very badly.

So I guess my latest story is a bit of a flop.

I had wanted to make a clever little story that would serve as a metaphor for having multiple personalities, and apparently almost nobody got that idea.

Which means I wasnt as clever as I hoped I would be. so I am very sorry.

So last night, I dreamed I killed a man.

I was following him up some kind of tunnel or shaft, and it led to a rocky platform. I grabbed the man, and threw him off the platwform.

And since he landed face first on something hard a long way down, I figured he was dead.

weirdest part was I didnt seem fazed by the fact I had just killed.

I dont know if I wanna know why my brain came up with that dream . . .

These are people that I care for and thought that I could trust them because they cared about me. But I was reminded of the fact that trust is a fickle and fleeting thing for some people in this world.

Over the past several months, I have been re-reading a lot of stories and books that I have previously read. This line was in one of those stories and it really hit home after the week I have had……

Last night, I dreamed I got an opportunity to work in a school as a teacher's assistant.

So after walking around to get a feel for the layout of the school, I went to the office, only to find out the program I was part of had been canceled, and they really didn't know what to do with me.

a dream of dysphoria

So last night, I dreamed I was a superhero.

I had this gun that would stun someone without permanent damage.

I got summoned to join a group of other heroes facing off a group of villains.

I was doing well, when suddenly I was hit with a case of dysphoria so bad I could barely walk, and one of the other heroes half carried me to our target.

Dont ask me, folks.
