This is final chapter of Volume Two of Book Five of the Gambling Man.

Those after Lee regroup on Lagoon Island, as they figure out what their next move will be, as they plan out how best to capture Lee. While sorting out some more immediate problems.

As this goes on, Revy and Priss will finally have it out, over Priss damaging one of Revy's cutlasses.

Meanwhile, the past finally catches up to several people.

Including Lee. With Lee being forced to face one of his most innocent of victims.

But, though this victim is innocent. That does not mean this person is harmless.

And Garibaldi is becoming increasingly distrustful of Lee. Especially, after the multiverse takes one more swing at both him and Lee.

For this will be Lee's Folly.

Anyone remember this one? Well, I did! Heard back from the authors whose characters are involved; I wasn't about to write so much as a vignette without having both on board. It took a little patience, but it happened. Don't expect any further such vignettes, as it isn't really my policy to use the characters of others. I won't rule it out, but I don't have it planned.

Chapter Two: A Little Problem

These three chapters are a little longer than ideal but the next chapter is about the same size as these three but it seems like a logical place to pause. Atalanta meets fellow Poe residents, her first meal in Crystal Hall where she exchanges greetings with a bully. Mrs. Carson flexes her authority and accuses her of being an artist. Her testing results are mixed and unpredictable. I hope you all enjoy these chapters.

I’d been seeing this girl for a few months now, and everything was going well. We had fun; it was too early to be serious. She had come to pick a friend up at work one day and while waiting I’d shown her round the office and introduced her to my work mates. Things developed from there. She worked in IT and was a little nerdy, with a librarian kind of frumpy look mixed with a penchant for pastel colours. Lots of cardies, glasses on a chain, etc. Her looks would never have led you to believe that she was really mischievous, but mischief appears to have been her raison d’etre.
