The year is 2247 and Earth has finally done away with war, terrorist and criminals are dealt with swiftly and harshly, a lot of previously incurable diseases no longer exist or cures have been found mankind has been given one last chance to survive or die.

It`s a new world famine and disease killed millions so National Boundaries no longer exist as governments are concerned. The situation got so bad that a World Government came into being with the concensus of all national Governments.

Sam let himself in two days after that. He brought flowers, chocolate and news.

This is a fan fiction set in the Firefly/Serenity universe created by Joss Whedon. It takes place after the events in the television series and the companion motion picture that followed, and is also the first part of a sequel to Firefly: Double Booked, which was in turn a sequel to Firefly: Connecting Flight. This means it has SPOILERS, folks, and major ones at that. So please don't read this unless you get the chance to see the series and the movie -- and read my first two Firefly stories.

In the first part of FIREFLY: CHANGING COURSE, Wash thinks about where she came from and what she's going to do now, and gets advice from an unexpected source.

Three days later and I’m back at the shore with my family and I haven’t really been out around town since my first day back.

That was fun. I was on one of the cottage bikes a no speed ancient thing when Ricky Conway and his asshats drive past me and he hit me square in the chest with a mello yellow flavored slurpie. It hurt, it was cold it got in my eyes and stung like a…well a lot. Mom had a talk with Dad and apparently I’ve got to clean up my language. Anyway the ass yells out “Nice Tits!”

Garia's meteoric progress through Palarandi society comes to an abrupt halt as her body receives the Call of Kalikan. As she is completely overwhelmed by the experience the women of the palace gather to offer support and assistance.

Part one

I still remember how it all started , we were at the dance class fooling about till the instructor arrived. Alec was on piano the playing away without a care in the world and I started to sing along. It was an old song from around 1914. Everyone looked at me and asked how I knew the song, I remembered my grandmother singing it often and I always thought it was a catchy song and it just stuck in my memory.

I had slippers on, so I ran across the broken glass just as the petrol tank went up, almost drowning the thunder of Kirsty hurtling down the stairs. I turned straight at her, pushing her back inside.
