This brief biography is based on a diary discovered in the archives of the Russian National Ballet.

Boris was born on 30th April 1958 in Moscow in Soviet Russia and even when very young, his parents took him to see the Bolshoi Ballet. It was not surprising, therefore, that he soon declared that when he grew up, he wanted to be a ballet dancer. He did well at school and later won himself a place in the prestigious Bolshoi Academy.

Derby Day Surprise — Chapter 4

It wasn’t too eventful after that because I was engrossed in the sights around me. Crossing the river was amazing since I’d only ever seen New York on films and on episodes of Friends on TV. I used to look at Jennifer Aniston in wonderment and she certainly knew how to show her best assets. Oh if only.

I had the best tenor voice in the school. I sang in all the plays, participated in the choir, and practiced a lot. I knew that my voice could propel me into the big time, but I had to maintain my grades, graduate, and go into a well regarded music school to even have a chance. I worked hard, and even had a few famous people come see me sing when I was a Junior. They all said the same thing. Great voice, good delivery, nice tonal quality, but ...

Bare with me on this one. The rest of the story is going to be a lot different than this first installment, so think of this as a sort of Prologue. This first installment is also written in the present tense as if you are in the protagonist's mind, so it is reasonably scrambled etc. (If it annoys you, don't worry, it is written in the past tense from Part 2 onwards.)

My name is Joani.

I am a Lesbian. .

I have known this since second grade when I fell in love with my best friend Jo. We got all excited and ran to her Mom to tell her that we were in love and when we grew up we were going to get married and I would be Jo’s wife and have her babies. Her Mom quietly said, “Don’t be silly, girls can’t have wives”.

Within two weeks Johanna was gone from our school and her Mom wouldn’t allow us to talk on the phone any more.

My little heart was broken. I got it.

Who I am is not ok.

Her Turn

At long last, it was her turn, and she woke the Body early, bursting with energy like a kid on Christmas morning.

She got up, and looked at the Body in the mirror, and frowned as she felt whiskers on the face. She went and grabbed the electric shaver, and put it to the face, but then the hands started shaking, and she cried to Him for help.

He sighed, and said, “Let me.”

He took the hand and steadied it, and then shaved the face with practiced ease, and then gave the hands back to her.
