“…and a silver sixpence in her shoe.”

Janet tried her hardest, but she couldn't prevent herself from breathing a sigh of relief as she pressed her employee pass against the scanner, officially ending another week of monotonous work. As Janet quickly discovered, though, she wasn't the only one feeling relieved.

"At. Last!" Rebecca- one of Janet's colleagues, a woman in her early thirties- giggled as she and a handful of her colleagues walked alongside Janet to the vast supermarket's locker room. "Dunno about you ladies, but I am in a mood to unwind!"

What might happen if the woman who lived in the flat upstairs had the power to redefine reality? This is the story of the courtship of Robert and Janet as they get to know each other and ‘edit’ the universe together. Oh... and did I mention that she likes her men girly? A science fiction story set in present-day Edinburgh with a slow-burning transgender theme.

Jill contemplates having a child by using her sister-in-law, Sarah, as a surrogate mother. Things that go bump in the day!!!

We managed to escape around eight thirty. We were too engaged with some of the guests who arrived simply to see the work. Bob and his people did an excellent job of advertising the showing but the result on that day was a surplus of people…strollers…who wandered in after dinner. This was their evening’s entertainment.

The Winter Semester is coming to an end. The girls get ready to celebrate and also spend some time in their favourite pursuit, hopping. Unexpected shoppers lead to an interesting day.

“Thanks for letting me swap my shifts again,” I say as I switch off the shop’s lights and step outside, allowing Dean to lock up the shop.

“Yeah, like I’m gonna let you work on your eighteenth birthday,” Dean says with a snort of laughter. “You have a good one, mate. See you a week tomorrow, okay?”

“Sure,” I say, waving goodbye to my supervisor before climbing onto the back seat of Rob’s car, where my girlfriend- or, to be more accurate, lover- greets me with a long kiss.

“Hey, sexy!” Chloe giggles, before giving me another kiss.

Jill makes her own way towards transitioning to womanhood but is caught by her parents due to a health scare. The story of Jill's mental and physical transformation continues in this third installment.

“If you look as we do, walk, talk, and squawk as we do…”

Friday couldn’t come quickly enough for me. Every day and evening I toiled and tortured myself over the final drawings. Finally, late Thursday evening, I put everything into my portfolio and brought it upstairs. I would spend only an hour at the most in the office before leaving for the salon and to get dressed for my lunch date with Susan.

“What About Bob???”

As much as our lives had changed forever that evening, our day to day remained as frantic as ever, and as usual. Bob Preston was pressuring me for a show and he was anxious to see what I had so far. I, of course, included Allie and her work whenever he mentioned me. I reminded him that Allie and I had a number of joint works.

“Go in peace to love and service the lord,” Reverend Stubbs proclaims with a wide smile on his face.

“In the name of Christ, amen,” I- and the rest of the congregation- reply.

“And on a slightly more festive note,” the young priest says, “a very, very Merry Christmas to you all!”

“Merry Christmas!” The congregation replies with light-hearted chuckles. I take a deep breath as I raise from my pew and help my grandmother to her feet. As usual, we’re one of the last to leave, and as usual, grandma stops to talk to the young vicar before we head out of the small church.

"Alright kids, get on the bus!" Said the gym teacher, pointing to the kids in the bleachers, waiting to be dismissed. Yelling, all the kids run out to their buses. Including Kaleb. Now Kaleb was a pretty average 17 year old, although a bit weak for his age, nobody bothered him, because he had longer hair than some of the boys in the school and creeped the other kids out, but that was alright with him, as he was also antisocial. Getting on the bus, it didn't take too long for Kaleb to find a seat, unaware that it was occupied.

I was standing in front a bright circular entrance of some sort. I was not quite sure how I got here. A pretty lady who seemed familiar gestured me to come inside, so in I went . All at once I snapped out of my daze as I walked to a very young version of my mom.

“Hello dear,” she said with a tight hug That felt incredibly good. Tim, how much do you remember? she asked.

Andi and Allie – Chapter 17

Wax on... Wax off...

I let out several shrieks of laughter as the loud music pulses inside my head, mixing with the alcohol and the hot, sweaty atmosphere of the nightclub to create a strong sense of euphoria. This euphoria is, of course, helped by the short, tight black dress I’ve squeezed my fledgling curves into, the thick make-up on my face and the extra-high heeled shoes attached to my feet!

Alan Archer, a veteran CIA agent, contracts a disease and the only hope is an experimental procedure. He wakes up from the procedure to find he is no longer the man he used to be. Can he now find justice as a young woman where everyone around her is lying to her?

I was suddenly disturbed while sitting in the bleachers drawing the cheerleaders/potential cheerleaders training. Very pretty ones too. James Knox Polk High School took cheerleading very seriously. Cheerleading and football. The training season started well before the academic year. If you wanted a place on one of the teams you participated in training weeks before. In both cases the people of Mediumville had high hopes of winning state championship. Especially in football with their prodigy Quarterback who had almost brought the team to play-offs despite taking over as QB only after Christmas. Luckily he had only been a junior. So this year …

You could say that I was a bit surprised when said QB was standing looking down on me with a tooth-paste-commercial smile. The quintessential Alpha Jock without any doubt of his excellence and entitlement. I had only moved to Mediumville in the middle of summer and didn’t really know the (small) city yet. However, I had pegged it as a rather socially conservative place so I was surprised that the star QB was openly gay.

“Hi! I’m Gene. Nice to meet you but I’m not interested.”

“Jean! That’s a pretty name for a pretty girl.”

Ellie smiled as she woke up on her comfortable single bed. It had been one of the most turbulent weeks of her young life, if not THE most turbulent, but it had finally ended, and for once, Ellie had a reason to feel positive about her future, all thanks to one person- the woman who was, unsurprisingly, already awake when Ellie emerged from her room, glad only in a knee-length t-shirt.

"Good afternoon," Janet teased, chuckling as the teenager rolled her eyes. "Can't blame you for wanting a lie-in though, the week you've had. You've definitely earned it."
