A man gets much more than expected from a simple purchase. (Inspired by a commercial you've probably seen.)

Saw this commercial and was struck by how closely it resembles the beginning of many of the stories here:

What follows is my take. I'm curious what directions others would pursue; anyone else care to write about "what happens next"?

I spent a lot of time in our small garden where we had few beds with various veggies. I was weeding carrots when my sis came home with her friends.

“Invite your sis to join us,” new neighbour girl asked my sis.

“But…” Lisa started to say something but trailed off.

I was stunned and confused. I wanted to join them but was afraid of a misunderstanding.

“What about that ‘sis’ business?” I asked sis later, “why didn’t you correct our neighbour?”

“Have you seen yourself in the mirror recently?” she asked instead.

A Timber Grove Story

On a chilly Halloween night in Timber Grove, William makes a wish at a wishing well that comes true in a very unexpected way.

This short story was posted on Halloween in 2014, but I'm posting it for the first time here on Big Closet Top Shelf. I really hope you enjoy it.

Introduction: For this little bit of fluff we go back only a couple of months before Cynthia and the Queen of the Knight. Over the years that these tales about Cynthia Brewer (nee Lewis) have appeared there have been a number of loose ends. We have met people, many the victims of The Wizard’s magic, and then we hear nothing more about them. A prime example is Charli and the Girl Cave. Charlie Donizetti’s parents as well as his aunt and uncle were brutally murdered during a robbery, leaving Charlie an orphan. Also orphaned were his two cousins. Other than a brief mention that the cousins had been sent to an orphanage in western Connecticut, we know nothing about their fate. Now is the time to find out what their fate was. The Wizard is up to his usual tricks.

This story is another addition to The Cynthia Chronicles. Cynthia (Cindy) Brewer has graduated from medical school, and is well into her residency. The Wizard has difficulty remembering exactly where she is in her studies. Randi Lewis at age 18 is starting work on her Master of Science in Chemistry, and Charli Brewer will soon be a freshman in pre-med at UConn. Bobbie Anderson is setting the golf world on fire having now won tournaments on the PGA in addition to her many victories on the LPGA. This story takes place about two months before Cynthia and the Queen of the Knight and a year before Bobbie and the Glass Ceiling. If you are not familiar with the stories that make up the Cynthia Chronicles, you might want to go back to the beginning with An Incremental Journey. There are references to Cynthia and the Reluctant Girlfriend and Charli and the Girl Cave. If you don’t remember what happened in those stories, you might want to go back and read them again.

My name is Susan Donnelly, and this is the story of what happened to me on my summer vacation in 2014. The doctors couldn't explain how I could disappear for a week and come back turned into a girl but I can, even if it sounds insane. “Trauma induced hallucination” is what Dr. Morris is calling my story.

“No! I’m cool with transgender people. I’m just not one of them. Or I wasn’t until you changed me.”

“We apologize. We thought we understood how to tell male from female humans, but we were mistaken. We must do further research.”

The door swung open and Sarah and Angela ran in, my sister jumping up and down in excitement "Can i come shopping with you two, please,please,please,please" she said, clearly on a sugar rush from a few too many bottles of Irn-Bru.

We were walking back to my place and when we reached the park I stopped and asked angela why people were staring at me, she turned and looked at me smiling
"probably the woman are looking at you thinking you are a slag and all the guys are probably thinking nice tits" she then points to my braless chest and my nipples stretching out the front of my shirt
"oh shit why didn't you tell me!" I said angrily

Note: I've been working on two longer projects and needed a break. This story idea came to me and I want to dedicate it to SL.

I swing my hips to the beat of the music playing from Sarah's music centre, following my girlfriend's lead, the two of us giggling at our private little 'party'.

Chapter 21.    Linda and Wishes make the most of Wishes' last week before returning to University.

This was the last week before Wishes had to go back to University so we decided to play tourist for most of the week. With Wishes driving we toured the county getting her as much driving practice as possible before she would have to drive to the University every day from next week.
