House Spouse

I worked alongside Matt Linaker for three years. I had no idea that he was anything other than a normal guy. I knew that he was married, so the fact that he had a slightly effeminate appearance I simply put down to “metrosexuality”.

Chapter 6

The thing that was disastrous for everyone was that the country was put into another lock-down from the first week of January. This time it was as restrictive as the worst of last year. This was getting very tiresome.

Part 40

By the time Chris and Amy stepped up to the counter, the young woman behind the register was nearly done scanning the pile that the girls had brought to her in multiple rounds. “Quite the shopping spree,” she commented, “Did you find everything you were looking for?”

And then some. Chris just forced a small smile and said, “I hear there’s a discount with the store credit card?”

Alex had a terminal Cancer diagnosis and thought she would die before she got to be the girl she always was inside. That all changes when she's in the wrong place at the right time and gets transported to another world and into the body of a girl. So what if she's not human, she's alive and a girl. Now if only she had her sister with her to navigate this new world and her new responsibilities. Wait, she's here too? The passage of their souls between worlds may have doomed the Earth to apocalypse, but Alex and Michelle won't be there to see it and they have enough problems on their hands.
 

“Calm down, Dido,” said John, who was surprised at her outburst.

Dido showed no signs of doing as he wanted.
“Calm down and tell me why you think that they didn’t believe a word?”

The Green-Eyed Maid Inn

“Nonsense,” Karen spoke up as she approached us now, having photographed me at least half a dozen times from different angles beforehand. “Anyone can be trained how to stand, walk, smile, pout, but a natural team player is worth double her weight in gold.”

Sophia and Mariposa snuggled down together under the mosquito netting. They didn’t need any other covering in the warm weather that was normal on the island. Last night’s rain had made the lushness of their island home just that bit more lush, and the perfume of the flowers was intoxicating.

Chapter 3

When we arrived at the main gate, I had to show my station lanyard with my picture on. I was signed in and given another lanyard with ‘visitor’ on it in big red letters. From there, we did the tour. The first stop, after passing a big hotel, was the Exchange.

Chapter 2

After the concerted effort of Friday, it was with a sense of dread that I answered my mobile, seeing Andrew as the caller.

“Carol here.”

“Carol, it’s Andrew and thank you for organising the photos. I rang the photographer, and he told me that it was a pleasure to see you through his lens. I’ve shown the pictures to management, and they’ve decided to use one in reception. With your application, I’ll email you the form again. If you fill it in with your new name and on-air experience, I’ll use that for the records.”

Chapter Three – Bali Hai

Crissy settles into life at Karumba where she is a very popular girl. Aunt Greta takes Crissy to Bali where she meets with a business partner while Crissy undertakes breast enhancement surgery. Crissy meets a 'special lady' at a bar in Bali and romance ensues. Final chapter.

Our Island.

Sophia her involvement in the solar arrays on the island as the resident engineer, but there was plenty of time to share with the child care of Squid (Gabriele) and Giant Clam (Santiago), and Seahorse (Delphine). There were no suitable husbands for her so her maternal feelings were sublimated by her involvement with the three children.

John was still waiting for the call, which, with every passing minute, looked like it would never happen, when Dido appeared late on Saturday morning. She and Trish had both decided to skip classes on Thursday, but had gone to the university on Friday as one of their lectures was given by Fox himself.

The village control room was manned from the fifth, with our cars sporting the new stickers. We each had a list. There were some of the old and some new names on them. We were to prepare and start the rounds on the sixth.
