At first the feeling is little more than a tickle at the back of your mind, but as your consciousness returns you begin to open your eyes. The darkness surrounding you is shocking, and helps to pull you quickly out of your drowsy state, after which it takes you only a few moments to relocate the lantern. Your bag of coins, on the other hand, is completely gone.

Chapter 14

The Search (Caution: Some bad language, sexual situations)

Steve and Gia finally got their senses back, when the last bomb went off. Tank and Ice were finishing off the last of the kidnappers. Three police cars pulled up. One of them was Stan Harrick.

“Freeze Everybody! Nobody move” Said Officer Justin Bloom. He was a two year veteran of the Martinsburg force.

“What took you so long to get here? Yelled Steve. This place was only attacked by oh, TWENTY kidnappers”

“Shut up! Nobody move” repeated Bloom.

CHAPTER 40
That took me full circle, back to those articles about April Ashley, and I felt an odd sense of calm as I spoke.

I stood on the doorstep trying to pluck up the courage to ring the bell. More than ten years since I had seen her, and it was me who had walked out on her. Would she slam the door in my face? I wouldn’t blame her if she did. In fact I almost expected it.

The airplane ride, the trip through the countryside seemed to take forever.

The young boy in the back seat of the car felt somewhat like a criminal as he traveled with the social worker who knew all too well.

He was small for 12, and looked a little malnourished. His hair was way too long for the social worker who had accompanied him on this trip.

"Don't pull anymore of your tricks," she lectured. "You dressing like a girl. We couldn't keep you in foster homes. I suppose this one won't last very long if you keep that up."

This is the first part of a multi-part story. The TG part won't become clear until much later so please bear with me on this. It does become a key part to the story.
This was also the first large piece I've ever written where the ending was totally clear in my mind before I started writing a word. I have to say that it was a little unnerving at times. Twisting the plot lines through many loops was not easy.
