This story is set in the 1800s. It is the story of a woman of privilege who forms a relationship with a poor child of Irish immigrants. It is a story of a woman who overcomes grief of the loss of a child. It is a story of a child who sacrifices for family and embraces and falls in love with a new identity.

More Than One Way

Chapters 45 - 46. The continuing story of Jason, a young boy that is coming to terms with his transgendered nature, and his mostly supportive family.

We all piled into the minivan and headed for the mall. As we walked in, we saw a pair of teens with canine features holding hands. We smiled at them.

The hard part of making a plan is telling someone about it.

She always enjoyed checking him out, seeing what new items he might have. Pickles, mayo, lipstick. Ham, a couple of movies, and a cute bra and panty set.

"For my girlfriend," he would say if she asked, but in a town as small as theirs she knew better.

"That'll be fifty four seventy three." He paid her swiftly, and hurried to grab his bags.
