This story references some violence, actually quite a lot of it. No sex though so it should be safe for the US market.

The Monday it all started I sat alone on the bus to school as usual. This was OK since I could spend the time to forge a letter from my parents recusing me from the upcoming school camping trip. Yes, I was not really the most popular kid in school. The fact that I didn’t conform to the usual stereotypes didn’t really help. Petite, long hair, artistic, dancing ballet and sometimes wearing a skirt made people peg me as gay, which I’m not, I prefer to think about myself as ”equal opportunity”. On the other hand my black belt in karate confused people as did the fact I was the school’s star pitcher. However, all this wasn’t really the direct reason why everyone kept their distance from me. I was also the favorite target of the group of bullies that styled themselves ”The Magnificent Seven”. They even had an ongoing ranking list of who was the worst bully.

A chance encounter in a chat room that leads to electronic meetings and eventually John asks Emma for a date.
But Emma has old fashioned ideas, she’s a Fifties girl and has a Golden Rule; First Dates are Kissing Dates, nothing more, aren’t they?
Well what about the second date, is that kissing only with perhaps an allowed caress, a warm cuddle? Or is it time that Emma took another look and reconsidered her own Golden Rules and perhaps modify them a little?
So Emma, a transsexual girl; (or so she thought until the hospital consultant began to believe that there was more to Emma than simple gender dysphoria), begins her struggle. Should she stick to her rules and allow her head to guide her down love’s rocky path or surrender to her heart?
With her mentor from the transgendered support group and a dozen or so trans girlfriends and their blokes to assist her, not to mention a mischievous muse and an upcoming surgical appointment to rectify nature’s little tricks, Emma has nothing to worry about.
Perhaps a quiet trip on the river in a punt with her new boyfriend might be the way to go? Or should she murmur with starlings?

Summer vacation ended. Our senior year began with both Amie and I needing very few credits for

graduation. This gave us time for career research with a lot of free time also. We had both decided on

our majors. Amie would study law, I was going into medicine. Now that I had decided on a direction, I

was anxious to get started. I had heard horror stories about the hours required of interns, but had my

mind made up that nothing would deter me from the path I had chosen.
