I wrote this in response to a comment about nasty dads. I've included quite a few of them in recent writings - Seven Dresses, Candy Crush etc - and I'm not sure I can justify it, apart from a mentioning the general impression I have that rigid attitudes and unbending beliefs are more of a masculine trait than a feminine one. I realise this isn't true in all cases, so I wrote a story with a father who's more supportive than the mother, although she doesn't do too badly. Of course that dad's a bit trans, so not a typical male.

Invasion

I yawned as I clambered into Chuck’s Honda Passport at the ungodly time of 8:20 on a Saturday morning. Chuck laughed and plopped a sun hat on top of my head, tousling my barely brushed hair.

Chapter 4: Mandy goes home with Dr. Parker. With a little bit of magic and the effects of TSS, Mandy's life at home will never be the same.

Chapter 3: The Evaluation continues, leading to some tough decisions.

After figuratively bumping into Richie Morrow on the way to the dugout, I literally collided with Jimmy Fallon, our team’s player-manager, as I sprinted onto the field.

Chapter 2: Mom discovers how her child views themselves and how that will affect their impact from True Self Syndrome.

I handed Rafe a mug of hot chocolate as he stood by the windows of Alastair’s apartment, peering out onto Perry Street, seemingly deep in thought.

“Penny for your thoughts.”

Real life has been quite bothersome lately and the energy to write ebbed to a standstill on certain days. “Hello!” Bisur said, and “We come in peace,” said Pamani. My other self had spent the morning during breakfast drilling the emissaries in English greetings, and had apparently thought “We come in peace” would be funny. Juniper certainly found it so, snorting as she suppressed an inappropriate laugh. And to be honest, so did I.

When you consider the circumstances in my life, it’s easy to see how things turned out the way they did. My dad was killed in action in Afghanistan when I was eight. He was through with his active duty time and had joined the National Guard and his unit was called up when the Taliban launched a major offensive. There are no male relatives that I know of so I haven’t really had any male influence in my life since then.

He's let his girlfriend bring another man into the relationship in order to save it. But the new man has some very unorthodox, very girly changes in mind for him...

Justin and Bridget's relationship is in trouble. They just aren't clicking romantically like they once did. So to spice things up, Bridget recommends bringing in a third: a suave, mysterious man named Anthony. Justin unenthusiastically accepts, and at first, the shake-up seems to be helping. But Anthony starts recommending increasingly feminine things for Justin to try -- inside and outside of the bedroom. How far will Justin let things go in order to save his relationship?
