I start this story with a lie. I hope you take no offence.

This is not a prologue. These are two epilogues to a story you have yet to read. A tale of love, as I have for you. A tale of choice, as you will have at the end of each release. And a tale of surrender, as I will, to your decisions.

At the start or end of each release, you will find two choices.

Author's Note: There is a plot, it starts to take off in this chapter, but there will still be chapters that focus more on Whit and Lucy's relationship and trauma. Something I haven't made clear that I will need to in future edits is that the story is taking place in a rural town In Illinois called Mud Creek. It's the kind of place that has very powerful gravity. My three main characters, Lucy, Whit, and Grace are all stuck in Mud Creek. Thank you reading and I so appreciate the comments!

Chapter 5 Dead Battery September 11, 2025

April - New York - Steele Industries

Three days later, Angel put on a blazer and heels and took the elevator to the executive floor. Victoria had left a terse “see you at 9am” in her inbox, but when she stepped into the glass-and-steel lobby, it was Lena who greeted her and brought her to a guest area.

Lena smile was tight and cautious. “Ms. Valentine, you look stunning today,” she said, her gaze flitting nervously over Angel’s inked skin peeking from beneath her blazer and the daring cut of her skirt.

For two thousand years, demons and humans waged war against each other. Twenty-five years ago, that all changed. Now two demon princesses must navigate a world that's been forever altered - and yet they'll soon find that far too much of it remains the same.

This is the story of Mikaela, and Charlotte, twin princesses (born to the protagonists of Demon Queened), forced to become adventurers as a rite of passage. In theory, it'll be easy! They're literally demi-gods after all. It's not like anything can hurt them... but will it really be so simple for two pampered princesses to live the life of adventurers?

From prejudiced humans to old demonic grudges, hidden villages, romance and potential heartbreak, the girls will soon find that there's a lot more to life than they realized.

This is a sequel to Demon Queened, but I'll do my best to make sure you don't need to read the original to make sense of it. I still recommend the original - it was a good series, in my opinion! - but reading it shouldn't be a necessity.

Chapter 9

After the travelling shows had run their course, there was a period of comparative calm. The agency was growing to a point where the original office was becoming cramped. They had no more room to add any more staff. They had a meeting and agreed that they should move. Willow looked on-line and found a new industrial building on Station Road, just north of the M25, in Waltham Cross.

The HQ for the Salmon Farming part of Calum’s empire was something of a disappointment to Jak. The Kennacraig ‘HQ’ turned out to be nothing more than two ‘Portacabins’ located near the Ferry Terminal.

Chapter 8

On Monday, they gave Sue the three contracts to add to the client list, with all the contact details filled in. Willow gave things some thought, and rang Helen, their secretary.

“Helen, I’ve been thinking. How would you like to share an office with me in Enfield. I have enough room to add a desk, and the house computers are extremely good. There are seventeen other girls here and are a great bunch.”

“That would be good, Willow. Is there room for my motor bike?”

Walking the Blue Line.

Jessie was wearing a custom-made corset drag dress with a long skirt, crotchless panties, and an LED butt plug in her ass. Instead of her thigh-high leather spike boots she likes performing in, she decided to wear her calf-length leather boots with a four-inch heel. Every time she twirled around, the skirt raised, exposing the LED butt plug in her ass. Not that the audience couldn’t tell she was wearing one. The light from the butt plug lit up the back of her thighs.

Over the next week, I started thinking about things. Who was I interested in? Was it boys, girls, or both? Did it even matter, since the whole town was family and they were likely all also being offered the chance to change bodies? Some of them wouldn’t, but they probably all had the choice.

But I wasn’t sure at all. I wasn’t really feeling that kind of feeling. Wasn’t sure at all who I might want to ask to date. I told Mom about it.

February - New York - Angel as Mark

Dinner was already plated when Lena Park arrived. Mark (formerly Angel) wore a black-on-black best, no tie, sleeves rolled, the perfect blend of intimidating and disarming. She wore a silver slip dress, daring by her standards, paired with a blazer that she refused to remove even after two glasses of wine. Mark clocked the nervous micro-glances at his forearms, the way she tucked a stray hair behind her ear when she meant business, the tic of her heel under the table.

Author's Note. I took a long break from this one because I was having trouble coming up with the next relics that would drive the story further. I have finally found what I was looking for and am looking forward to moving this story on.

Chapter 27

June 30, 2028

Agent Marla Keene arrived the next morning, and when she met her, Fran had to admit that cyborg seemed forgiving. Deputy Carlson picked her up at the airstrip at what was colloquially called the “bottom of Grade”. Grade was so named as it sat on a hill. The top was the edge of city limits, at which was the county sheriff’s office. The bottom was an airstrip, situated where the small planes that landed and took off were sheltered from the winds that blew, uninhibited, across the landscape.

He spotted her the moment she stepped off the plane. Her tailored black jacket looked like it was made from graphite – the shirt underneath, looked like it didn’t dare wrinkle.
