The Jogger

I sat at my window and peered out into the night sky, only the moon was visible to the naked eye. Pouring myself another glass of liquor, I momentarily studied its contents before downing it. Once again, my drinking companion tonight would be my insomnia - and my damn brain refusing to shut down.

Tears welled into my eyes as I thought of her lovely face constantly in front of me, haunting my mind each and every time I would close my eyes.

How did my life get so screwed up? I cried to the empty room.

On an Earth ravaged by war and plague, hope still lives.

First, some fools decide they want to take on Revy, Rock, and they friends. The results are not pretty for the fools.

Then, it is game on. With Lee versus the sharp, the deadly, and the beautiful.

Dutch, Benny, and Janet, hit the town, and check into the Devil's Hotel, with their family and friends.

They are in search of the writer. And these three women immediately set this sights on Lee, in their hunt for the writer.

With their hunt sparking a battle of wits. Between them and Lee. Full of guile, deceit, and trickery, that will lead to a game of one upsmanship, that escalates to the point where Lee and his friends will be suckered into hosting a full blown circus of insanity, at the Devil's Hotel.

With said event attracting even more attention, at a level that even Lee might not be able to handle.

“Project more!” Mrs. Ingram urges me. “We want to be able to hear you all the way at the back of the class!”

“I will never let you manipulate me into taking a stand against my own father!” I say in a loud, forceful voice to the girl stood opposite me. “No matter how much you threaten me!”

Alright, so chapter 2 of this. I upped the rating (I think) since the main character has a potty mouth, and certain risque discussions do take place. That's basically going to be the rating from here on out; if there is any doubt about letting young-uns read it, read it first and make the call yourself.

This chapter is basically philosophy versus mental health. Enjoy.

In the soup

You ever do something without thinking it through, and find yourself in deep trouble?

Well I sure did.

It started with me finding a book on astral projection. I really didn’t believe it, but I thought I’d give it a try anyway.

It worked.

I found myself floating above my body, and I “flew” out the window into the city.

I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, but when I saw a wedding celebration going on not far away, I couldn’t resist a closer look.

This is a story set in the 1800’s about a family that has lost every family member except the youngest son and his twin sister. Then his sister dies of smallpox and he manages to persuade his mother to let him become his deceased sister.

I really thank you for your very kind comments the really do help me a lot and make sure that I am on the right track with the story.
