“Jess.” I wasn't sure if I was happy to see her sat with Josh or not.

“Where you been Gab?”

“Changing?”

“Josh was telling me you got selection, way to go girl!”

Josh gave me a look, ‘who is she?' he mouthed.

“Er thanks.”

“Where's Mand?”

“Right here,” she stated from behind me.

Take Three Girls - Part 8

Take Three Girls. This is about 2 girls and one woman (myself) and their very different route to become the women they knew they should be. It was going to be called Take Two Girls, but an on line friend (she knows who she is) and the girls bullied me into the name change. Some poetic licence has been used to help the flow of the story but not very much.

Victoria’s life is progressing really well her parents have come to terms with her condition and are giving their daughter all the help and support she needs. Helen and I have a talk and to keep the peace at home Kate stays with me at the weekends. On Kate’s 14th birthday Carl and I share a kiss

Even after eight years of marriage, Charles still couldn’t bring himself to tell his wife. He was just too afraid of losing her. It would be different if he had told her before they were married. But who knew this would be a lifetime condition. Oh sure, he knew that by the time he got married, he had given into the urges five or six times a week. Almost daily. He had still thought having a wife would banish the habit.

CHAPTER 18
The Ouse was low and slow, murmuring past the moorings as I laid out my tools. Somewhere overhead a lark was singing away, and there was a splash near the far bank as a vole dropped into the water. Dragonflies droned past, and when I looked down past the rail I saw a pair of dead eyes fixed on mine as a pike hung almost motionless, drifting slowly downstream as it waited for something to kill.

Both my dad and I looked at the woman in the doorway trying to keep our jaws from hitting the floor. In the reality where I was a boy, my mom had died giving birth to me.

Yet, here she was, apparently alive.

But then, gratitude overcame shock, and I ran to her, and hugged her fiercely.

“Whoa, Fiona. Not so hard, you’ll break me.”

I started crying.

“Honey? What’s wrong?” She said.

“I’ve missed you so much!”

I stare tears starting in the mirror and my hair’s awful and I’m not wearing make-up and thankfully I’m not hairy faced or have like shaving/beard shadow yet so I look like what I guess is what a lot of girls my age might sort of look like before they got their curves.
I look like Sarah, I look like I need a lot of work and getting this yet but just like this right now I’m looking at the right me, the real me.
The girl that can look in the mirror and not have it hurt.
And god oh god does it ever feel amazing for that to just feel like that and not hurt.
