I woke up nestled against Meredith’s breast. She must have pulled me against her last night. I kissed her breast and gently removed myself from her embrace. Another good round of sleep, I could get used to this. I was even used to how nightgowns occasionally tangled my legs. It was all so different but so comfortable at this point.

I looked up at the second floor, and saw a girl's face in one of the windows. She looked directly into my eyes, but she didn't move or wave. I was so startled, at first I couldn't tell the others, but when I did, the girl was gone.

Masters arrives in enemy territory...

As we walked away from the school, Mom said, "I think that went very well."

I looked at her in astonishment.

The rest of the morning was taken up with chores like the laundry and some cleaning, also I did start a roast joint, lamb for a change. To save time I part cooked the spuds in the microwave and then shoved them in the oven. The rest of the veg was relatively tame, carrots and broccoli.

I did not want to get up and turned away from the alarm. In doing so my flailing arm caught Simon on his buttocks - he was lying face down, and there was a squeal of agony, which was far louder than the clock radio.

I sat up with a jolt, "Wassamaatta?"

"You hit me," he whimpered.

"What?" I wasn't aware of much at all.

As the group headed for the Hospital Wing, something was happening to Harry, who was bringing up the rear. He was doubled over in excruciating pain, his wand lay a few feet to his right, and he looked genially to Snape and James as they realised what was happening.

“Harry!” they said together, rushing back to where he lay in the grass. “What is it?”
