“You ready, Gerald? Ernie’s here with them two officers!”

I took a last look in the mirror, making sure my tie was as straight as I could get it, the medals just so, my black beret with the badge sitting perfectly. The red hair didn’t quite go with it, but couldn’t be helped.

Chapter 13

*Ding Dong*

The door to the Walters home opened and there was Donald standing in the doorway.

“Come in ladies, come in.”

“Thank you Donald. However, I wish we were here under better circumstances.”

“Jocelyn said this was an official visit. I think we both knew that sooner or later it would come to this. Brit just doesn’t seem to get it and just won’t stop playing these pranks on people.

Anyways, we can discuss this all over dinner. Come into the kitchen and sit down, dinner is almost ready.”

The year is 2150, the populace of Earth had to give up fossil fuels years ago due the ozone nearly being depleted. This is where my tails start. My name is Twitchy, yeah really weird name, but I’ll get to reason why shortly. In the late 2000’s when people started to notice it was getting hotter and hotter every month. The scientists discovered the problem with the ozone, their readings were well off and it was nearly gone. The world’s leaders all got together and immediately stopped the extraction of fossil fuels. This meant we had to implement the programmes that was already developed, but the fuel companies did not want them released, as they controlled enough corrupt officials to stop it actually coming to fruition.

When we last saw the Davis kids the school year had started. Things started going well for all the kids until Gabby has an accident in her pants and it was a big one and on the first day of the school year to. She looks at me and says “I guess I’m like the rest of them except for Zoey and Taylor.” I then tell Gabby “I bet they have accidents too and feel just as bad as you do now.” Also Michael came out as Michelle.

Here's a spin-off of my story "Brave New World". It introduces a character who was later important to the final arc of that story, as well as a few that aren't.
