Ever since the first Magical Girls appeared, to fight against the Violet Ooze threat, Max has dreamed of joining their ranks. Not that he’s particularly interested in the girl part - no way! - but the magical bit? The being a hero bit? That’s everything he’s ever wanted in life! So when a Magical Crystal offers him an out from the mundanity of college life, he agrees without a second thought! 

Unfortunately, the Magical Crystal gets attacked by Violet Ooze during the formation of their contract! Instead of a purehearted magical girl, ready to face the forces of evil, Max ends up as the Violet Queen - the new leader of those very same monsters!

Of course, the problems don’t end there! She's got magical girls aiming for her head, powers that are fueled by people lusting after her, and - worst of all - a ‘corrupted’ crystal that insists the true threat to the world is actually the (unwitting) magical girls themselves!

Rose couldn’t believe she was giving up a day's worth of work to train with Sasha Wolfhart. She had arrived at six in the morning as Sasha instructed her to. She had called her assistant store manager to handle the store today. She would stop by later after she was done to check the deposit for tomorrow.

Chapter 3

The first time I went outside, she couldn’t get past the door. I went up to her room and put a couple of her rings in my pocket and tried again. This time, she was able to leave the house. I rode to the Duke, with her sitting in the sidecar. When we arrived, she disappeared after telling me that it would be best that I didn’t see her. It might be odd if I kept looking at an empty space.

In the bar, I saw the barmaid and she saw me.

“Hello, again. You are starting to be a regular.”

Having become acclimated to flying the spaces between realms, the trip was uneventful and direct. Not as quick as an immediate translation, but I wasn’t ready to test such maneuvering to patterns not ingrained in both memory and heart.
