The men who signed for Heater released him at the airport after Katrina had transported him to Brazil. She managed to recapture him again. Katrina went into the terminal in search of a meal while waiting for her plane to continue to Venezuela. She is supposed to transport another horse to France. She is taken from the airport by the military and loaded into a military truck which speeds away from the airport. They finally stop at a home where the man she meets proclaims the horse she transported is his and she must be his guest for the evening.

Resuming their original mission- that of finding Prof. Samuel’s missing Time Machine- Alex and company participate in a ghost hunt, where they provide most of the paranormal activity. How much will the Empress allow her fellow ‘poltergeists’ to enjoy the ‘witching hour’? How much will their newest sister, Akane, influence the mission? Later, Alex and Jack attend Prof. Samuels’ theoretical science lecture masquerading as her keynote speakers.

The bored radar tech looked at the display to see what the automated system was upset about this time. One glance and his boredom vanished.

FF01 First Step

He carefully pushed open the basement door and felt for the first step.

The boxes in his arms swayed a bit as he approached the bottom of the stairs. As he walked over to the table something seemed not quite right. He set down the boxes and gave the table an odd look. It looked shorter.

He glanced down at the floor and stared in shock at the six inch gap between his feet and the floor. And then stumbled as he fell those six inches.

He couldn't have been standing on air. Could he?

But when he fell it felt just like the jolt when he'd gotten to the bottom of the stairs and found out he was still one step up...

I was discovering that I loved to wear a dress - oooooooh, lovely.

I have lived for years with a more than casual interest in the female form and the wonderful variety of costume and adornments that were available in the latter part of the 20th century. But I had never actually studied the options. I had a vague feeling about ‘I knew what I liked’ but actual knowledge – no.
