She watched from the back, a shadow among shadows. The darkness was her home. Everywhere she went they never noticed her. Between her breasts the silver pendent spoke of who she was without a word. The sword and the rose was a forgotten statement of power. Not that anyone here would know it.

A mysterious diary. An unconventional porn shoot. A night out on the town ends with… a transformation. Read all these stories in this month’s TG Mixed Tape, along with an examination of the filmography of the Wachowski siblings (of The Matrix fame), how the pair incorporate queer themes into their work, and Speed Racer (2008) as an artistic statement and a reflection on Lana Wachowski’s transition; an interview with Jenny North, who talks cosplay and genre-(and gender)-bending; and more!

Introduction: Mike Donatella has just gotten out of the Navy and is desperately searching for a way to get away from his father’s business. He blindsided by his father’s announcement that he is getting married. The shocker is that his father is going to marry Sean Finlayson’s daughter, Ashley. Mike almost outs Ashley but thinks better of it. Now he’s been tasked to bring Ashley back to his father. Could things get worse?

The story is not mine. It is based on a very old tale that might have been part of English/Irish lore, it might be French or German. It might even be Persian in origin. I’ll leave it to you to try to figure out what tale it is. If you think you know, PM me. Don’t spoil it for others.

Although there are characters from other stories who make brief appearances, this is a stand-alone story.

A side story to "A Bikini Beach Summer." A couple characters in the main story visit Bikini Beach. Any further information would spoil the main story, which should be read first.

Part 17: The Conference.

Part 18: Tim is released on bail. The clique quarrels and breaks up in fury over his release.

Part 19: The clique tries to reconnect. Then, disaster...

Part 11: Lucy and Carol agree, "What happened Friday night remains Friday night." Tuesday is the pass's last day. Last week's horror stories about Ruth come home to roost.

Part 12: As usual, Carol joins Luke, Ruth, and Daisy during their activities. Carol has to remind Luke of certain facts about Bikini Beach.

Part 13: Luke fearfully returns to Bikini Beach. Lucy gets in trouble with Jen, but manages to avoid being caught by Pa in her bikini. Luke, on the other hand...

Part 5: Luke gets a two-week Bikini-Beach membership, so Lucy is around for a while. Jen tells her own dark history.

Part 6: Lucy goes through the next few days.

Part 7: Lucy attends the July 4th Celebration at Bikini Beach. For her, it's less celebratory and more revealing in a most distressing manner.

I've been told by some people that I should write a book, apparently these people believe that I have worthwhile experiences to share that might be of benefit to someone somewhere. I'm not too sure of that, I'm even less sure of that if I were to let those same people who prodded me onward know the exact light in which they would be portrayed that they would still insist I move forward.

All names and places have been changed to protect the innocent and guilty alike... Well okay perhaps not all of them, I really don't think I'm creative enough for that...
