CHAPTER 11

When we arrived near Fledora, Raylan and I were the first out of hibernation. He was still sleeping, however. Linda followed close behind.

“Jonnie, it sure is good to be home. I must admit I didn’t know what was going to happen to us. Thank you for rescuing us.”

“My pleasure.”

“I have a question about Georgia though.”

Chapter 4

As they were driving back to her place, Kelly looked inside Rhidas purse.

She wondered what the little black box with the red button was for.

She pushed it out of curiosity.

The tension and uncomfortable feelings dissapated as the day went on. Ryan felt a little ambivalent about what was happening to him. He knew that his last change was pretty dramatic, but he felt a sense of calm about it. He attributed it to his resiliance to remain true to himself no matter what changes occured physically to his body. He was in charge here...not the virus.

I Saw Her Walking

I saw her walking down the street, and I stopped .

Clothes are tattered, old suitcase in her hand.

I approached, she flinched.

“You want to hurt me more? Reject me again?” She said.

“I came to say I'm sorry. Please come home.”

“Until you feel guilty again?”

“No. For the rest of our lives, if you are willing.”

We embrace, go home.

I had to do this.

Had to make it right.

And I will.

Because I need her.

Because the girl is me.

That was our trial. I had been wetting myself all through it, it was over, and I hoped never to have to go through that again.

Tuesday, December 30, 1997

Robert Shannon was in custody. A passerby noticed him passed out in a sewer and notified NYPD. When they tested him he had a blood alcohol level of 0.12. Apparently he had not been driving. If he had he might have ruined several more peoples' lives.

With the help of the locals in the other villages, the natives have defeated the Japanese invaders. Now the airmen have other strange tribes to deal with: Americans and Australians!

"Our friend here," Joe indicated Melanie, "has been working undercover behind enemy lines. We're accompanying her to assist in the debriefing. She's a civilian, so she may not appear on your documents, if you take my meaning."

The sentry looked guarded. "Uh, I don't rightly know as if I can let her in, sir. She's not on the list, you see."

"Corporal," Doc asked the sentry, "You'll let me in, won't you?"

"Yes, sir, you're on the list."

"Then why don't you let me use that phone in your hut, and I'll see if I can sort this little difficulty out."

"Right you are sir. This way."

It is time to visit colleges and figure out where your life is headed. For one individual, their future is out of this world, literally.
