Washington DC, December 30, 2024.

The President of the United States of America stands looking out through a window in the Oval Office. She’s thinking about the events since her announcement the day after the election in November. She is still amazed and appalled how fast things moved since then. The pace has been unprecedented. How could so many so-called friends and allies, many of them in congress only through her support, turn against her like that? She had been a very successful president for 8 years and now this!

 
The wedding is over. I’d met a wonderful guy, and even if I did like guys, which I don’t, my heart belongs only to Sara. But, I hurt him, which really upset me. Other than that, it was a fun time. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. And, the guys never did figure out which bride’s maid was a boy. If there really was one. Well, it’s time to go back home and back to being Peter. Sigh.

For some Eternal s, our longevity has its drawbacks. There are some of us like the mighty Zeus, who after his place in the sun had passed, found eternity so insufferable, that he long ago spread his essences upon the stellar wind, thus is no more.

"Tansie," Alyson Palmer yelled. "Get Her Majesty some more spiced wine."

Bob continues his search. With begins to prove fruitless. Though, he does meet some interesting people along the way. A few friends, a few enemies, and a few unexpected individuals.

I slipped my black trainers on and saw how the heel trod on the trousers. I saw they would be frayed to bits before I reached work. With yet another sinking feeling, I searched for the box of shoes.

 
Well, my nails are now long and very fancy. And, we’re at West Point. And, so far so good. Everyone is still seeing me as girl. The wedding is tomorrow. And, I wonder if Linda is as nervous as I am. And, about last night, . . .

Bob heads to an Alternate Marvel Comics reality. And he will face plenty of surprises, and challenges, when he gets there.

It is a New York Rhapsody.

Then, we get the chance to see where Bob goes, when he need to have some downtime, to rest, in Deep Space Nine.

I look around and it’s just her and Nicole, Jessa and Taylor.
I take a stuffy nosed breath. “Prince Christian Lyonnes and heir and…and daughter of Aurora Blackhand….”
I was not very sure of that… of this and her.
Nicole coughs. “We’ve been using Christiana or Chrissy.”
The woman breaks into an easy smile. “I like that I’d wager your mothers would have too.”
“You knew my mother?”
“Deidre? Nay just what Aurora had said, fine person by all account though.”
(Sniffle-sob.) “She was…” I gesture hopelessly at my face. “I’m sorry; I don’t know why I’m….” (Sniffle-whine.)
She nods and pulls me close. “It’s a ‘cause yer here Chrissy, yer journey’s done, yer safe.”
…..
I…
(Sniffle-sob.) “Safe?”
She nods and squeezes me hard enough to make me squeak. “Aye…safe.”
