And there’s all these people together either dating or married and stuff and I’m kind of feeling left out seeing how happy everyone is and everything together.

“Not that I’d have an idea of how to really be with anyone or anything even if I met someone.”

Yes…yes I’m talking to myself because you do that when you’re alone so much.

Alone, in a new life and way different body and things it’s still the same…hurt and lonely and that makes me feel all fat and ugly and what’s the point and that’s when it hits me.

I get my car and drive around after using my debit card to pay for the stuff at the beach and tip the valet guy five dollars. I’m driving and really trying to not go into a drive thru and just…It’s like this hurt that kind of sinks into that craving rush you get when you ear something good.

That something you like’s rush is what you use to replace the empty spot inside that I’m trying to fill.

I know all of this and yet.

This is for Stan. I hope he would've liked it.

Now we get to why chapter 6 of my other tale was a bit late. I debated over how to do this, and finally decided this was the best way. Surprise!

Now to the serious part. I've no idea how it works for other writers (though I have my suspicions) but for me...I hear voices; my muse brings them to me, and they yell in my ear. Min's voice was the most insistent to start with, finally leading me to actually post/publish a story for the first time in years...but min isn't the only voice my muse brings to me. Now that Min has quieted down a little, I can hear the other voices my muse is tormenting me with.

The next most insistent voices are, another Whateley academy story, and this; what I call the ballad of Fu. The other Whateley story I hesitate to even start, as it's dark. Way too dark. So dark it makes a black hole look as bright as the sun dark. I might eventually write it but...dark. Yeah.

So that brings us to this. I thought to myself, if every other writer here has their own universe(it seems), why can't I? So sit back, relax, drink a beer, and enjoy. (note, I am not much for front side exposition in a story, so if you ask what's different about this universe compared to ours, you'll get your answers, just not immediately.)

I first noticed him standing there and thought he was alone but didn't look long enough to be certain. The next time I took the time to get a better look there was a woman in red standing next to him. They were both removed, maybe a hundred and twenty or thirty feet away, not directly involved in the grave side services but both obviously sneaking glances at the activity.

With frustration, I looked back at the little girl running to catch up with me. I hated her almost as much as I did her brother, Jeremy. It wasn't always that way, we used to be good friends way back when. But when my girlfriend dumped me, after a month and a half of dating... for Jeremy, our friendship was shattered.

I should have known better getting close to Adrienne, she was like that, a social butterfly. Before Jeremy, before me, there was Jack, Mark and two guys from the school across town. Adrienne was a real player, I guess I shouldn't have held it against Jeremy but... he was the guy after me, and I've blamed him ever since. I kept making up things about him in my head, and after time, came to believe them.

"Let me explain your predicament clearly: We'll let you out of this tree grove without harm. All you have to do is give each of us a quick favor. For me, I just want to kiss - your exposed left nipple."
