I was told by my psychiatrist in 1960 that being transsexual was not considered a mental disease or defect, and that I had a right to be who I am. This chapter deals with Stephanie's life as the girl she is, and the loving support of her mother. Remember this is fiction, but I incorporate a lot of personal experiences.
