CHAPTER 44
The weather remained as shit as it always is in January in Cardiff, and we were handed another death from despair, once again not far from Queen Street. I would never get used to dealing with such cases, as they all seemed to happen almost in the doorway of such places as posh coffee shops and designer sandwich places.

The Naethari Chronicles

Hey, everyone, long time no blog, right? Well, life has pretty much sucked for most of this year, and my energy for writing, posting, and such has been largely hit-and-miss because of it. I'm hoping that now the worst might be behind me, so I think I'm back in the saddle.

just a reminder

Blog About:

Author:

I am writing this to give myself (and anybody else who might need the reminder) that the horrible stuff that happened to me, and the mistakes I've made are not my whole story. They exist, they are chapters in my book, but there other chapters as well.

And as long as I am alive, even more chapters will be written

Hey! It's been a while.

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I posted an update here, so I figured I should probably wander back in and let you know what I’ve been up to.
Quite a bit, apparently.

First, Fractured Rune officially has a sequel coming! Book Two of The Aeldstorm Saga is called Koltja’s Shadow, and I’m currently planning to release it in early 2027.

CHAPTER 43
When I got home after the shift, there was something that had been niggling my memory right from my first sight of that news report. I pulled it up on iPlayer on my telly, and paused it at one of the clearer views of the team and scanned along their faces. They were a right mix of types, some clearly more ‘physical’ than others.

CHAPTER 18
I watched the two of them dancing round each other, and felt my worries start to ease. Jacky had timed her visit to coincide with Mary’s summer break, and I would have two weeks in the middle of it, but it had still been a worry, leaving them together without me there to moderate, or perhaps shush one of them when I could see a secret about to be divulged that I would rather keep private. A bit like having your parents to stay, knowing that as soon as you leave them alone, they’ll be looking for your more embarrassing possessions.

CHAPTER 17
Jacky arrived at Heathrow at the start of August, but we weren’t there with the car as she had instructed us, in very clear terms, that she knew exactly what airport parking cost, and besides, she was getting a ‘limo’, etc. In real terms, she booked a private taxi, so on the day of her arrival, Mary and I took a National Express coach to Terminal 2, settling down with the obligatory expensive coffee while we awaited a flight delayed by headwinds.

CHAPTER 42
Not good news at all, I thought, wondering if we were going to see a repeat of schooltime fallings-out, where friends were pushed hard to take a side, pick the ‘real’ friend over the ‘false’ one, but Amina had been clear on that issue. Same people, just no longer a couple.

The weather wasn’t helping, my birthday having flown past as unnoticed as I could manage. There was too much bound up in such an occasion, none of it calling for celebration. I was off the next day, so it was another evening of tears before and during bedtime, as well as waking up in a chair again, as the light slowly emerged outside my living room window.

2026-10-02 weekly update

The Revolutionary premieres this week! I've also been working on drafting Inheritance, the next novella, a reality shift story. Should be a fun one.

I launched polls for the next novella and for transformation fiction themes, including a new story idea, Custody, which is also the caption for this week (synopsis below). I loved making this one, hope you'll like it as well!

Note these Ephemera will expire October 15th - Collectors and Patrons can access now, and Patrons can access at any point even after expiration:

Chapter 14 of Plot Twist In Paradise is up!

Hey everyone!

Chapter 14. On a Friday. On time. No public holidays, no scheduling disasters, no small humans standing between me and the post button.

I don't know what to do with all this normalcy. It's unsettling.

Enjoy!

November elections

I've been filling out my absentee ballot; taking time to google each candidate. I've noticed that the candidates for local and state school boards as well as other offices connected to education are most likely to address issues of gender and sexuality. Don't skip those parts of the ballot even if getting information on less publicized offices is harder. They matter!

F**K THE STORM: Mingling In The Woods With Fellow Lesbians

Caution:

Blog About:

Author:

There was a nor’easter coming, and I chose to prepare by wandering into the woods with my wife for a lesbian camping weekend.

As one does.

We went to Lezapalooza—Pooza—and somewhere between helping at the camp store, meeting more people than I could possibly remember names for, and watching a runway contestant dressed as boxed wine, I found something I wish were easier to find everywhere.

A place where I could be completely myself without being afraid.

CHAPTER 38
Marlene saw us off after a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast, with tea, of course, calling a taxi for us that dropped the other women off at the hostel before running me back to Tom and Connie’s. I couldn’t face a fry-up, so just settled for multiple more cups of tea to try and rehydrate.

God alone knew how much I had put away, but the two older women had gone at the job of getting blotto as if it was just that, a task to be completed as quickly as possible. And they had indeed been models of efficiency.

Disclosure - chapter 2

The wrongness starts on Wednesday, a persistent pressure sitting low behind my pubic bone. It feels like I pulled a muscle doing deadlifts on Tuesday morning, except the ache is internal. I spend the afternoon walking a client through his municipal bond yields. His name is Vance, a guy who made three million in commercial logistics last year and now wants to talk about buying a marina. I sit across from him in the glass-walled conference room, keeping my face relaxed, smiling at the right intervals.

For both Dido and Trish, the ten-hour flight was just so different from any other flight that they’d ever taken. From the glass of bubbly that was kept topped up to the choices of food and its availability whenever they wanted it, and not when the flight attendants decided that it was meal time.

Ashton

There was an extreme screaming sound in my ears as I opened my eyes to see Coach Register yelling at me.

“Dennereck! You alright?” He barked in a voice that would never sound calming to anyone.

I nodded and stood up.

I was back at school.

“That was a major hit,” Keith replied as he brushed at the dust on my shirt.

“Yeah,” I answered as I looked around and saw about every other guy in PE playing soccer, turning the center of the track into a mosh pit. “What hit?”

Part 16 The Minting of Penny

Next day we filmed a couple of linking scenes. One was where Susan inspects the work that the other two had overseen and decides that I need new bras; so, setting up the short shopping trip.

The second was the scene with me and Odette in her office where she inspects my changes so far; declares that I am coming along nicely and ordered me to pleasure her as my reward for the good start.

We took our time, and I made her shout when she came with my head being squeezed between her thighs.

Back in the Saddle . . .

IMG_0026.JPG

Hello, everyone! I’ve been seriously unproductive as a writer this year. After a strong start in January, I basically dropped the ball until I was finally able to post a short story at the beginning of this month. But that kind of inspired me to keep going on a project that I’ve had in what Patricia Marie Allen calls the “bone pile” for a little while. I think I’m far enough along that I can start posting.
