I am not gonna claim to be any sort of expert on dreams, but when the same theme shows up in every dream for a week, I am going to assume my brain is trying to tell me something.

Each dream was different in terms of the setting, the details, but they all had 1 thing in common - I was failing at whatever the task was.

I failed in classes in school, I failed to connect to my classmates, I failed at 2 different jobs, I even failed at 2 different relationships - one with a girl, and one, surprisingly, with a boy.

on one of the worst days of my life, a little girl tried to make me feel better.

I got a phone call at work saying my grandfather had died, and so I took the day off, got my then girlfriend and went to her parent's house.

They were babysitting their granddaughter who couldn't have been more than 3. I crawled onto my girlfriend's bed, and this little one decided to tuck me in.

Little acts of kindness make a big impact, folks.

My permanent residence. Even though I spent decades away from home, first in the service, and then later spending about 80% of my time traveling for work after leaving active duty, I kept my permanent residence in the Capital/Saratoga Region of New York State. This includes spending the last eight years of my professional career maintaining a residence in either Pennsylvania or South Carolina, I still never changed my legal residence from New York State. There have always been too many legal reasons to remain a New York State resident.

I think its wonderful that thousands of years ago, humans gave cute nicknames to pets, wrote each other love letters, made complaints about not being paid enough, and wrote graffiti on walls.

We really haven't changed all that much.

I have spent the last few weeks doing some major editing and revisions to my Costumes story. I think I'm close to being ready to publish it. Yeah, I know, I wrote it 15 years ago. I still view it as one of my strongest stories, so maybe a good one to be my first book to publish. I need your help. One of the things I've always struggled with is selling a story. You know, writing that blurb that appears on the BCTS front page or on an Amazon web site to convince a person they want to buy this book. Tell me what you think of this blurb.

I realise that in the last few years, my upload schedule has been, to put it bluntly, crap. This is despite the fact that I have no fewer than 21 chapters in the backlog that need editing but are otherwise ready to go. The reason I haven't, well, edited them is due to a lack of free time.

Since I got out of the hospital, I just haven't had any energy for writing, so I don't know when I might have something new for you all.

Single-sex spaces - such as changing rooms and toilets - must be used on the basis of biological sex, new guidance from the equalities watchdog has confirmed.that this means, for instance, that a trans woman - a biological male who identifies as a woman - should not use female toilets or changing rooms, according to the code of practice.

The ruling is a joke.Bridget Phillipson even said women should not confront any man using women's "spaces" As I and many others have said. How the hell will they know?

I don't know how many people read this blog, but if you have, and if I have ever posted something that made your day a little better, I'd appreciate it if you would say so, cause honestly I feel like I'm not doing anything worthwhile.

We have mondy coming in Friday but money going out today and tomorrow.

Personal reserves are rockbottom so we have to hope we don't need them.

Ad revenue is way down, expenses are up. We need more revenue. We're stepping up book production, which will help, and thanks to everyone buying our books!

But we depend a great deal on contributions from our community to meet the expenses of the site, phone and internet access for each of us.

In the past year, Melanie and I have put more than $5,000 dollars of our own money into keeping BC operating. We can't keep doing this.

So after two hard disc crashes in two years where I lost all of my stories I was working on as well as links to the stories I loved reading, I found I had lost my mojo and just couldn't get back into writing mode !

Gaby and the Apollinaris junior squad are off to their last race before the summer break.

The human body has a remarkable ability to repair damage - at least sometimes.

For example, if you looked at my skin, you would hardly tell I had recently been in a hospital fighting for my life.

Even the place where they attached a hose to my chest to drain the fluid out of my lungs has been reduced to a small scab.

There is one exception. On my wrist is a long mark where they had to put tape on to secure an IV line that wouldn't stay in place because I was sweating so much

I usually don't post long stories. The only other story longer than 10 000 words was a special experiment.

I occasionally post sequels but those are conceived separately.

The cereal was just my way of having fun with you. All 8 parts together was shorter than most stand-alone stories here.

Now I wrote a 10 508 word story. I posted in two partes.

Due to the effects of old age starting to manifest, a brain fart on my part caused me to post The Magician's Daughter out of sequence. Thanks to samquick and Lindsay who alerted me of my dreadful error!

I have just put up Chapter 17 so, if you're interested, you can read that at your leisure. It's rather annoying to me that I skipped over Chapter 17 since it does have some important elements that move the story toward its denouement.

Chapter 19 will be posted next Monday as pro forma. I promise!

I was dismayed to read that Huston's Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in the country has been 'persuaded' by the Texas Attorney General to set up a free 'detransition clinic' for children as well as stopping treatment such as puberty blockers. Apparently it is seen as a triumph for your President who of course has nothing more important on his mind.

For some reason, I found myself thinking about my stepfather today.

I think I have moved past hating him, and now I see him is just a pathetic bully and liar.

Still have PTSD because of him, though, so I guess I just have to live with that.

got some good news from visiting my doctor today - I am down to 277 lbs!

When talking about your gender identity is there a difference between using comfortable and not uncomfortable?!?!?

When I'm working on "Angel of..." stories I keep having ideas for the next Masks story, and vice versa.

His Department of Education, a misnomer if ever there was one (especially in light of who he chose as his Secretary of Education), has apparently opened an investigation into whether or not Smith College has violated Title IX by admitting transgender women.

Perhaps we should rather be reminding people that on this day in 1970, some 56 years ago, 4 college students were killed and nine wounded at Kent State University in Ohio while protesting the US involvement in the Vietnam War. Members of the Ohio State National Guard discharged 67 rounds over 13 seconds into a crowd of unarmed protestors. Eight of the shooters were charged with depriving the students of their civil rights, but were later acquitted in a bench trial.

When I got online today, suddenly this site is displaying a shrunken version of the screen. It is roughly one third the size of the normal screen.

Any clue as to why this is happening? Is anyone else seeing the same thing? Any ideas on how to resolve the problem?

Several years back, I started writing a story about a beautiful young transgirl who moves in with her wealthy "uncle" while attending art school. At first they get along fine, but then he begins demanding unusual "favors" in return for food and board:

So today we realized there were a bunch of stuff that hadn't been done around here since I went into the hospital, and since i was in manic mode, I decided to try and reduce the list a little.

I did pretty well, but at some point the manic fog lifted enough for me to realize i had pushed myself as much as I could, and for once I actually listened to my body and called it a day.

It probably doesn't seem like much, but I'm a little proud I could override the manic and realize when I needed to stop.
