Okay so we got a notice a week ago about the owners bringing in another round of roach control, and since I was sick and mom had her arm in a cast, we kind of panicked, but then we got help from Mike and Carol's handyman and we were as done as we could be this morning when we thought they were coming.

Then I looked at the notice again, and realized they are coming on Thursday, not today.

I mean, at least we are ready, but we could have done without the stress, you know?

And a few days ago I finished reading The Station’s Late Nite Princess, and started in on Frills, both of which are among my favorites.

In Frills, there is a scene where the main character’s home is toilet papered, the cars covered in shaving cream, and the house egged, by a group of high school students for the 28th time inside of a year. What made this stand out was the news story I saw this evening about a high school teacher in Georgia who was killed Friday night by a group of five teens while they toilet papered his home.

Proposed law to make asserting one’s transgender identity legally punishable

Caution:

Blog About:

Author:

What makes HB 1442 particularly alarming is language critics say effectively criminalizes asserting a transgender identity in certain contexts. The bill narrows the legal protections for gender identity in New Hampshire’s nondiscrimination law and defines accessing certain sex-segregated spaces based on gender identity as an “improper purpose.”

In plain terms, the legislation creates a legal framework where simply stating or acting on one’s gender identity could be used against someone if they attempt to use facilities consistent with that identity.

For transgender people in New Hampshire, that means everyday actions — going to the bathroom at work, at school, or at a restaurant — could suddenly become legal minefields.

I phoned the hospital about getting her cast off, and was told we were supposed to have it looked at 2 weeks after she broke it, and either they forgot to call us or we missed the call.

So now, if there is damage in there, its been too long to do anything about it. and she has limited mobility in 2 of her fingers.

sighs, I feel like a complete failure in terms of looking after her.

James asked Lily to be his forever

Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Lily, who lived in a small town surrounded by mountains. One summer evening, as the sun set behind the hills, she met a traveler named James, who was passing through. They spoke for hours, laughing and sharing stories about their lives. As the days passed, their bond grew stronger. They found in each other a kindred spirit, someone who understood them without words. When the time came for James to leave, they both felt an ache in their hearts. But they promised to meet again, no matter the distance.

Personally I strongly believe Oklahoma and several other states to follow Kansas in invalidating trans license, making us non citizens.

In the current political climate, it can feel dangerous to express an opinion, or even to read someone else's.

BC was intended to be a friendly place to read, write and discuss TG fiction and that will always be its principal mission.

But part of being friendly is feeling safe. Accordingly, I'm going to modify BCs stance on political discussion, a small bit. Such discussion has never been outright prohibited, just frowned on lest it turn into personal attacks and violations of the Three Rules.
